Having a movie night date is a romantic way to spend time with your lover or spouse. If you plan things well, you will realise that you do not have to spend a lot of time in cosy and expensive hotels, especially if you are on a budget. You can even decide to have your date at home, in front of your own screen. Some of the things that you should do when planning a movie date night are as follows.
Choose the Right Movie
Before you start the date, you should do due diligence in establishing the kind of movie that will be right for both of you. Consider aspects such as your partner’s preferences, the theme of the film, content, appropriateness and availability in your region. Even if you are planning a surprise date, you should ask your partner if they have ever watched the movie you are planning, so that you do not present them with something they have seen before.
Essentially, a movie date should be relaxed. Both of you should be able to enjoy it without reservation. You should dress comfortably so that you can focus on the movie. Get yourself a pair of comfortable gym tights that can also double up as leggings when paired with a nice shirt. Alternatively, you can wear semi-casual attire, depending on where you will be watching the movie and the level of your relationship. If you are just starting to know each other, you may not want to be overly casual, but comfort is a must.
